World Debt

On October 13, 2015 the Toronto Zoo announced the birth
of the first giant panda cubs born in Canada.
Both Jia Panpan (Canadian Hope) and Jia Yueyue (Canadian Joy)
have been a delight to watch as they have grown
from two very small and vulnerable cubs to healthy and thriving youngsters
and Toronto Zoo staff have appreciated each and every
milestone they have reached.
The challenges balanced with the number of joyous moments
over the last 365 days have provided a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity
for us here at the Toronto Zoo,
and we are thankful to everyone who shared it with us along the way.

Afghan Girl –Then /  Now

The woman in the photo was identified as Sharbat Gula,
whose parents were killed in the Soviet Union’s bombing
 of Afghanistan in the 80’s.
Until National Geographic found her again 17 years later,
she’d never seen the famous photo of herself.
When asked how she survived everything that happened to her,
she said that it was “the will of God”.

But still bound to offend someone!!

Marble Run with 100,000 tiny marbles!

A satisfying video of an epic marble run with a container
 filled with 100,000 tiny marbles!
These marbles are 3 mm (1/8 inch) in diameter, in comparison,
a regular marble is 16 mm (5/8 inch) in diameter.
It makes a silly, but soothing noise when these little marbles
bounces through this marble maze made with glass sheets,
acrylic cubes, wooden planks, some bells and more

Friends Furever. Too cute. Hubby and I enjoyed this one.

Those are fascinating pictures. I love it that you have my Awww Mondays horse and foal. Thank you.

Planet Earth II. Love that trailer. Wow.

Always enjoy the cartoons.

The immense power required for launching a rocket. I wasn't expecting that.

Kids. You just never know what they will do. The little guy trying to grab that spoon cracked me up.

The opera at the school was awesome. Some just didn't get how awesome that was.

Historical pictures. I loved Princess Diana.

I got a kick out of the folks that were scared of that bridge in China. I don't think I would care for it either.

Around the World. Always a great history lesson.

I would love to see the valley of lights in Italy. Wow.

Oh that basket in Newark Ohio. Is that filled with deplorable's? Just asking.

It's good that he held onto those two termites until this is over. Bwahahahahahahahaha.

Wow on the magic trick that amazed the Orangutan. That was cool.

Odds and Ends...I don't wanna go to school, I just wanna break the rules. Welcome to McDonald's. Spot on.

Oh boy, more of Planet Earth II. Way cool.

Those ukulele folks are very good.

Always enjoy the funny signs.

Wow on all those marbles. That was amazing.

Phun Phacts. Always things I didn't know about.

Wow on that customer that damaged those televisions. Wow.

Another fun week.

Have a fabulous day Phil. ☺
