Elvis Presley had a great romance with Anita Marie Wood Brewer,

 a TV performer, recording artist and girlfriend to Elvis Presley.

 The two dated seriously for several years from 1957 to 1962

. Anita signed a contract to work as an actress for Paramount Pictures

 but later gave it up for Elvis.

 While he was in the army, he sent her letters 

which he told her never to show anyone

. No doubt, Anita walked away with a broken heart.

I'll Remember You" was written by a Hawaiian musician named Kui Lee

 who, tragically died at a young age (34) but,

 not before leaving this World with his gift of this song.

 Elvis was so moved by the lyrics and melody of this song

 that he performed it on his famous 1973 Satellite "Live" Concert 

around the World.from Hawaii.Elvis dedicated the proceeds 

to go to the Kui Lee Memorial Cancer fund

. Artist Kui lee passed away 7yrs prior, in Dec 3, 1966.
